We were so happy to be invited to help style and plan Aoife and James’ fabulous North Devon rustic wedding at one of our favourite venues: Ash Barton.
Inspired by Italian romance and Irish gaiety and charm, this was a celebration of fabulous family and friends. Small and intimate, with fine food & wines, all was beautifully styled within our traditional canvas pole tent.

The lovely couple
From the minute we met Aoife and James in a cafe in Sloane Square we were enchanted. Not only by them as a beautiful couple – but also by their wedding vision and dreams. It was to be an absolute pleasure to assist them in bringing their plans together, and in turning their dreams in to reality.
The brief
Aoife and James asked us to provide the marquee, make supplier recommendations, assist with some planning, help in ‘day before’ set-up, and marquee and table styling.
The venue
Set in 25 acres of beautiful North Devon countryside, Ash Barton is a Grade II listed manor house surrounded by woodland, fields, gardens, wild flower meadows and lakes. With a large open courtyard and romantic old chapel in its grounds, we love this venue for its breathtaking views, rustic charm and intimate feel.
The styling and food
Gathering foliage and greenery, we created a stunning garland in the Blue Fizz vintage-style marquee, adorned with upcycled tea lights. Ivy and ruscus were featured in the table displays and chair backs, with simple, tactile fabrics in natural colours.
The food from Astridges was wonderfully social, with sharing platters of antipasti leading the way to a main course barbecue served with artisan breads, and a trio of desserts.
